Our History

1989

Founded by the Friedman family, Northern Stamping Inc. is formed to offer its OEM customers high-quality parts produced in a responsible manufacturing environment with an efficient cost structure.

1997

Matthew Friedman became President.

Expanded Press Facility, adding 3 new automatic transfer presses, including 2000 Ton Eagle Press and launched Robotic Weld Shop.

2004 – 2005

Began production of trailer hitch assemblies for high-volume pickup and SUV platforms.

2011

Launched new welding and coating facility in Queretaro, Mexico to support GM SiLao Assembly Plant.

2013

Recognized by General Motors with the Supplier Quality Excellence Award.

2014

Added Fiber Laser Tube Cutting and CNC Tube Bending to complement the Company’s advanced robotic welding capabilities.

2015

Recognized by FCA as a Supplier of Excellence and awarded Mopar’s Quality Supplier of the Year.

2016

Launched new facility in Flint, MI for production of 5th Wheel Hitch Assembly.

First of several AIDA servo presses added to the Company’s press lineup.

Lamtec Partnership: Acquired 50% interest in a stamping and welding operation in Queretaro, Mexico.
